Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient FLT / Yard Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our storage areas, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics and supply chain processes. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced out side environment.

Duties

- Operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely and efficiently. FLT duties are around 20% of working time.

- Outside working environment.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform materials handling tasks, including sorting, packing, and labelling products for dispatch.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain an organised and clean work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a Yard setting is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to operate a forklift;
- Capable of performing physical heavy lifting tasks as required by the role.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all tasks undertaken.
