What you'll be doing
We are seeking a Foam Baler Operative to join our manufacturing team at Lebus Upholstery on a permanent basis. This role plays a key part in supporting production by managing foam waste efficiently, maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping, and ensuring the foam baler operates effectively.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, processing, and baling foam waste, contributing to a clean, safe, and organised factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
? Follow all health and safety rules to maintain a safe working environment
? Report hazards and keep walkways, fire exits, and emergency routes clear
? Safely handle and move waste and scrap materials using correct equipment
? Remove scrap and offcuts from CNC machines to keep production running smoothly
? Monitor waste levels and prevent build-up around production areas
? Sort and return usable scrap materials where required
? Complete daily baler safety checks before use
? Record waste and scrap information accurately
? Weigh scrap bales and pass them to the FLT operator with correct paperwork
? Maintain high housekeeping standards across the department
? Support team members and assist during busy periods
? Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and FLT drivers
