Duties
Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
Assist with seating arrangements and provide menus to customers.
Take orders accurately and efficiently, using basic maths skills for billing.
Support kitchen staff with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and waiting areas.
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Skills
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and billing accurately.
Experience in guest services, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain high standards of hygiene.
Culinary skills or experience in food preparation is advantageous.
Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining excellent customer relations.
A team player with strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with kitchen staff.
