Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are met. Provide information about menu items, including daily specials and promotions, while effectively upselling where appropriate. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables and waiting areas. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for complete guest satisfaction. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices is highly desirable. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A culinary background or interest in food preparation is an advantage. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required.
