Duties

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, utilising upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, adhering to food safety standards throughout the process. Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations to guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience in serving, culinary, or kitchen roles is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills for effective guest interactions. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
