Duties

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere. Assist guests with seating arrangements and provide menus, explaining daily specials and promotions. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, aiming for swift resolutions. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Support team members in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices within a restaurant environment. Experience in hospitality or guest services is highly desirable. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive guest experience. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods. Familiarity with food preparation processes is an advantage. A proactive attitude towards helping colleagues and enhancing team performance.
