Job Summary
The Front of House Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position involves supporting the general manager overseeing the daily operations of the front of house, managing staff, and ensuring high standards of hospitality and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the culinary arts, with experience in both restaurant and hospitality settings.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of front of house staff, ensuring efficient service delivery.
Train and mentor team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service excellence.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food production and presentation.
Assist in overseeing barista operations, ensuring quality beverage preparation.
Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members to foster development and growth.
Skills
Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
Culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and production techniques.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
Previous experience in serving roles within a restaurant or hotel setting is highly desirable.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and foster a positive work atmosphere.
