The Rose and Crown is a much-loved local pub at the heart of our local community. We're known for our great atmosphere, freshly cooked food, well-kept lagers and ales, and friendly faces -- both behind and in front of the bar. Whether it's a family Sunday lunch, a quick pint after work, or one of our popular quiz nights, we make sure everyone who walks through the door feels right at home.

We're now looking for a

Front of House Team Leader

to help us keep that welcoming spirit alive and ensure every guest enjoys the best possible experience.

The Role

You'll play a key role in the daily running of the pub -- leading shifts, supporting the team, and making sure service runs smoothly. It's a hands-on position where no two days are the same, and you'll be right in the middle of the action -- chatting with regulars, welcoming new faces, and keeping things organised behind the scenes.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate the Front of House team during service Deliver friendly, attentive service that keeps our guests coming back Support with opening and closing duties, cash handling, and daily checks Keep the pub clean, tidy, and running efficiently Help train and develop newer team members Work closely with the kitchen and management team to keep everything running smoothly

About You

We're looking for someone who loves people and enjoys the buzz of a busy village pub. You don't need to be overly formal -- just friendly, reliable, and proud to deliver great service.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or pub supervisory role A natural ability to lead and support others A calm, positive attitude -- even when things get busy A genuine passion for hospitality and community spirit Flexibility to work a mix of evenings and weekends

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week
