Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, possess strong organisational skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring a positive first impression. Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff efficiently. Serve food and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service. Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations. Working behind the bar, pouring drinks.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with guests and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and food presentation.
