Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, assisting with food and beverage orders, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the hospitality industry and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and manage their seating arrangements in a courteous manner Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring prompt service Assist with food preparation and presentation when necessary Serve dishes and drinks in accordance with health and safety standards Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is an advantage Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and food presentation

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
