FOH Team Member



Salary: National Living Wage - 12.60 p/h

Hours: Various contracts available - Both 20-25 hour and zero hour contracts available

Availability: Open for discussion. Depending on contract, flexibility to work daytime, evenings and/ or weekends as required by the organisation.

Responsible to: FOH & Programming Team Leader

Holidays: 38 days per annum (pro rata)

The Role



To work in the FOH Department and alongside the wider CentreStage Team. This includes going above and beyond in delivering customer experiences and opportunities, supporting the smooth running of the organisation, and running inhouse and external events across the site. In your experience, you will have a reputation for being highly organised and dependable, and having an ability to communicate effectively across the breadth of the organisation.

CentreStage is a fast-paced organisation and as such your ability to respond to and organise competing priorities and demands will be an asset in providing the best experience possible. As a first point of contact for many of our visitors, having an energetic and outgoing personality to connect with all levels of our community is vital.

Duties and responsibilities



Is multiskilled and flexible to work in all areas of the Welcome Desk, FOH, admin support and events delivery.

Create a real focus on customer experience and investing time in developing customer relationships to drive this.

Is relentlessly positive and friendly.

Develop a strong understanding of events, activities, and hires across the venue in order support the smooth day-to-day operation and answer customer enquiries quickly and effectively.

Has proficient IT skills and can work in a systematic approach across various booking systems and subscriptions.

Is thorough and works with great attention to detail.

To work cooperatively with the Sales & Events Department and wider CentreStage Team, ensuring the smooth running of the department through open communication.

To understand, sell, and promote the various outputs of CentreStage across classes, shows, performances, and events.

Support delivery of wider entertainment programme and events across the Cafe/Bar, Gathering and Circle Lounge.

Deliver a high-class front-of-house service by greeting guests, scanning tickets, escorting guests to seats, selling merchandise, and providing support to guests with specific needs such as individuals with mobility issues or other disabilities.

Can identify customer service problems before they arise and address them appropriately when suitable.

Understand and organise our existing resources and materials and develop opportunities to put it to use.

Be responsible for the presentation and cleanliness of front facing parts of the venue, ensuring CentreStage maintains a high-quality, welcoming, environment.

Person Specification



Essential



Experience of working in a Front of House, Event, Reception, and/ or Community environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills across a wide demographic of age, stage, and ability.

Ability to contribute to a wide range of events and activities across the site.

Desirable



Qualification(s) in Events Management, Admin, or similar

Knowledge of events programming and planning processes.
