Duties

Greet guests warmly and manage their seating arrangements Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety Assist in food preparation when required, ensuring adherence to food safety standards Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests Handle customer enquiries courteously, resolving any issues efficiently Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Experience in serving or food preparation roles will be beneficial Basic maths skills are necessary for handling bills and transactions Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience can be an asset Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
