We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and a warm welcome. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our front of house, making it a vital position within our establishment.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests with a friendly and professional demeanour. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted. Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety. Manage the dining area by keeping it clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during their visit. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic maths skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions. A keen understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both customers and team members. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and work as part of a team. Ability to upsell products confidently while providing excellent customer service.
