Position: Folder Gluer Operator

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Hours: Monday to Friday, double day shifts of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00 rotating weekly

Salary: Competitive + Overtime

About the business:

My client is a highly regarded print and packaging company with a history of working with some of the biggest global brands and creative agencies. The company has a strong emphasis on customer service and investing in the latest technology and equipment.

A position is available for an experienced Gluing Machine Minder (folding/gluing machine operator) to work in the carton finishing department. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic with at least two years of experience in running Folding/Gluing machines. It is essential that you have good technical expertise in aspects of print finishing, together with good mechanical ability.

As a BRC accredited packaging manufacturer, they work to BRC food packaging standards and have ISO 9001 quality accreditation. These standards focus on good manufacturing practices and high standards of hygiene. Training will be given to a promising candidate who may lack experience in this area.

They are looking for someone who is keen to be a proactive member of the production team, with a high level of motivation to ensure time and quality targets are met and has a \'can-do\' attitude to solving problems and developing more efficient ways of working.

The candidate will need to show experience in setting up and running the following types of cartons:

• Same panel tuck in end box
• Reverse tuck in end box
• 4 corner glued trays
• 6 corner glued box
• Pillow packs
• Crash-lock bottom boxes
• Press lock bottom boxes
• Wallets
• Sleeves
• Double walled trays
