Summary

We are looking for Folding Operators to join our team at our New Inn, Pontypool premises.

Folding Operators tend a machine that folds paper and bundles of paper. We are especially looking for people who have print experience in areas such as folding, stitching, laminating.

Primary Responsibilities :

Lift stacks of paper and make folding styles

Scheduling and producing work in a timely manner.

Read job ticket instructions and set up the controller of a machine

Follow production schedule

Perform test run

Work safely with machines

Adjust fold plates and operate paper folding machine

Monitor automated machines and supply machine

Producing an excellent quality and quantity of products.

Ensuring the daily production targets are achieved in right quality.

Discussing the jobs to be run on the machine with the previous shift operator.

In the case of new jobs run the jobs after getting approval from the finishing supervisor.

Taking the assistance of the supervisor in the event that possible complicated jobs are to be run.

Regularly checking and maintaining of the machine and reports any untoward observations to avoid accident and damage.

Keeping the workstation clean and tidy every after completion of each work task.

Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update operations and systems.

Offering colleagues appropriate support and advice.

Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.

Mentoring and training inexperienced staff.

Inspecting work in progress and finished materials to see that quality and quantity standards are compiled with.

Assisting the Operation Director and/or the Production Manager in covering shift staff shortages.

Performing related work as required.

Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.43-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
