About the role:
The FoNS Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Faculty Office within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and serves as a key point of contact across the wider Faculty community. This varied position involves helping organise events, supporting Faculty committees, and managing various administrative tasks that assist colleagues. The post supports the FoNS Office, the Dean, and the Chief Faculty Operating Officer (CFOO), reporting directly to the Executive Assistant and working closely with staff across the Faculty and the College.

What we are looking for:

  • To assist, plan and deliver a wide range of Faculty events across the academic calendar. For example, this can include (but is not limited to) prestigious annual lectures, prize-giving events, research showcases, research seminars, Faculty social events, and away days.
  • Research venues, suppliers, contractors and prices.
  • To assist in coordinating suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel).

Further Information
This role is for a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2029 (0.6 FTE position with potential for extension and conversion to full-time)
