Food and Beverage Manager



Role: Permanent



Hours: 40 hours per week - 5 days out of 7



Salary: 33,280 + benefits.





You'll ensure all guests and clients have a personalised and exceptional food / beverage service and event experience, from the moment they arrive through to their departure.


For this to happen, you'll be leading, training and developing our food and beverage team whilst working within budgeted and health and safety guidelines. A busy and varied role creating the best F & B and event experience for clients, staff and all internal and external stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to use all of your knowledge and experience running and managing events, from a wedding to a prom to a birthday celebration and party to helping to create the best company away day experience for our clients!

In a typical day, you'll:



Manage the day to day restaurant and bar staffing requirements, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members by holding regular 1:1 check-in's with your team Assist the operations manager in driving growth in F & B income and preparation and delivery of the F & B budget Coordinate with the events and catering team to align service times and menus with conference schedules Ensure all events run smoothly giving complete customer satisfaction enabling potential repeat business Work closely with the chef and kitchen team to provide an inspiring food service for business, events and leisure guests Ensure all team members have active learning & development plans and that mandatory training requirements are up to date Carry out duty management shifts in accordance with the rota


For this role, you'll need:



Excellent people and communication skills Plenty of experience running and managing events A strong leader with proven skills of handling challenging situations and a problem solver Financially astute, able to contribute to budget planning and reporting and budget management Minimum of two years within a similar role, preferably in a hotel or meeting event / conference centre environment Good working knowledge of restaurant department Proactive "can do" approach and curious by nature Flexible with working hours
