The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's food and beverage services. This includes managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining inventory, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. The supervisor plays a critical role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management
:
Supervise, train, and schedule food and beverage staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure clear communication and a high standard of service.
Address any performance issues and conduct performance reviews.
Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
Guest Service
:
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing guest concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Monitor and maintain quality standards in all food and beverage services.
Greet guests and oversee seating arrangements in dining areas.
Operational Management
:
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, room service, and any other food and beverage outlets.
Ensure that all food and beverage outlets comply with the hotel's standards and policies.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff schedules.
Financial Management
:
Assist in the development and management of the budget for the food and beverage department.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Implement cost control measures without compromising on quality.
Health and Safety
:
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of the food and beverage areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
Train staff on proper food handling and safety procedures.
Marketing and Promotion
:
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the hotel's food and beverage offerings.
Develop and implement special promotions and events to attract guests.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education
:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
Experience
:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
