Our kitchen is committed to creating high quality, innovative savoury and sweet products and, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Production and Development Chef to join our team and help make our deli a local favourite.
Job Summary:
Our newly opening Food Hall and Deli is looking for a talented and creative chef to assist in the development and production of our own range of savoury and sweet pastry products. Initially, as our Production Chef, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, taking responsibility for the preparation and production of a variety of items, including pies, sausage rolls, sweet pastry products, scones, cakes and tray bakes. You will work closely with our team to maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction with the aim of taking overall responsibility for the kitchen with the Food development and excellence Chef
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the day to day operation of the kitchen
Prepare and cook a wide range of products to a high standard and to specification.
Assist in product planning and development.
Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Y Experience working in a professional kitchen desirable
Y Passionate and creative with the desire to learn and teach new skills.
Y Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Y Experience working with both savoury and sweet pastry would be beneficial.
Y Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards required.
Y Good organizational and multitasking skills.
Y Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
