Food Process Worker

Great Stuff Organic Limited is a young family business specialized in organic health food production. We are a small team but will grow steadily and will give all team members the chance to grow along with the business.

: Wakefield WF2, West Yorkshire

Hours: L

ate Shift: 2pm to 9:30pm, Mondays to Thursday (4 days per week)

Position:

Full-Time, but Part-Time, or Temporary if preferred is also possible.

Main Duties:



Packing food products in production. Helping / assisting the production team. Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Procedures. Protect the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others at all times. Ensure product change over's / start up standards are managed and adhered to Report all faults without delay to relevant manager(s) to ensure issues are addressed ensuring production is restarted as soon as possible. To ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all areas - operating a clean as you go mentality Deliver a performance to ensure that company minimum standards are met and exceeded. Ensure all issues encountered in production and warehouse areas are taken care of immediately. To undertake any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required by the Company.

Key Responsibilities:



All team members are expected to demonstrate a reasonable degree of flexibility, with different departments within the company. This involves: production, packing, cleaning.

Learning and maintaining a good knowledge of products and processes involved in food manufacturing.

Routine day to day tasks involved in the manufacturing of our quality snack products.

Recording accurate production figures and data.

Excellent attention to detail and taking care and pride in the quality of your work through food hygiene and health and safety practices.

Essential Skills:



You will need to be technically minded, have a good eye for detail and an analytical approach.

You are trustworthy, loyal, integer, dedicated, focused on teamwork with a desire to learn and grow in the role.

Similar experience in a previous role will be an advantage.
Food safety qualification will be an advantage.

Conscientious, positive thinking.

A good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Effective and collaborative communication skills.

An understanding of, and an excellent attitude towards the fundamentals of hygiene and food safety.

A desire to ensure that individual as well as departmental objectives are achieved, ideally exceeded.

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

Pride in themselves, their work and our products.
