About the Role - Production Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee the efficient running of our processing facility. This role is critical in ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and all operations comply with industry regulations. You'll manage schedules, coordinate production, and help drive continuous improvement across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple production lines to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity.
Monitor production costs and manage the packhouse budget, contributing insights during weekly management meetings.
Act as the main liaison for coordinating orders and ensuring alignment with production programs.
Plan and manage staff schedules, ensuring legal compliance and supporting the team as needed.
Develop and mentor team members across various production sections.
Maintain technical documentation to meet regulatory and HACCP standards.
Monitor health and safety practices, identify risks, and implement preventative solutions.
Host customer and auditor visits, ensuring a professional and compliant front of house.
About You:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within fresh produce manufacturing (preferred).
Strong understanding of best practices in food production and packing operations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, including with seasonal staff.
Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
Strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solver.
Detail-oriented and committed to high standards of quality and compliance.
Schedule:
8-hour shift
Availability for weekend and night shifts required
