Summary

We are seeking a talented Food Technologist to join our team at Food Buzz Consulting. In this role, you will leverage your scientific expertise and customer facing skills to develop and optimize beverage formulations, ensuring they meet both consumer preferences and regulatory standards. This position is key to driving innovation within our product development process working on a one to one basis with our customers.

Responsibilities

Undertake all tasks associated with product development - ingredient sourcing, sample preparation, customer presentation, organoleptic testing, chemical testing, final product specification preparation and rev. Manage key customers' accounts confidently and independently for NPD and EPD projects from concept to launch for multiple workstreams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years of practical hands-on NPD experience, with ability to demonstrate working within a customer facing NPD technologist role in the food industry is preferred, ideally with some beverage application knowledge. Excellent organisation and coordinating skills with the ability to perform well under pressure and able to satisfy a multiple customer base. Competent, adaptable and can work on their own initiative. Excellent numerate, written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and courteous communicator both verbal and written. Experienced user of Excel spreadsheets, able to demonstrate a logical and with attention to detail approach to provide information on time in the right format. Knowledge of food labelling would be an advantage Understanding of Basic HACCP Principles; qualified (Level 3 minimum) UK full driving licence and own transport to get to site required

Remuneration and the seniority in the company is dependent on level of experience; any bonus is performance related.
