Overview


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Football and Sports Coach to join our Summer Camp team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coaching, a deep understanding of working with young people, and a commitment to fostering skill development, teamwork, and a love for sports. This role involves creating engaging, age-appropriate training sessions and supporting the physical, emotional, and personal growth of young people.

Key Responsibilities:



Program Planning and Delivery



Develop and deliver structured, fun, and safe coaching sessions tailored to the abilities and needs of young people Introduce and teach fundamental skills, strategies, and techniques in a variety of sports. Encourage creativity, sportsmanship, and teamwork during practices and games.

Performance Development



Observe and analyse individual and team performance to identify areas for improvement. Provide personalised, constructive feedback to help young athletes enhance their skills. Design fun games and activities to improve fitness, agility, and coordination.

Motivation and Leadership



Inspire and motivate young people to build confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude. Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment that encourages participation and growth. Serve as a role model, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and commitment to the sport. Promote and celebrate organisation activities and projects, to participants, parents and coaches. Embrace the activity purpose and deliver outcomes to a high standard.

Young People Support and Guidance



Support athletes during games, competitions, and events, providing guidance and encouragement. Build strong relationships with young people

Equipment and Safety Management



Ensure all equipment is in good condition and suitable for young people to use. Conduct regular risk assessments to maintain a safe training and playing environment.

Skills and Qualifications:



Essential Skills



Strong communication skills to effectively engage with young people, parents, and colleagues. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. The ability to plan and execute dynamic, engaging coaching sessions. Leadership and motivational skills to inspire young people.

Experience and Certifications



Proven experience in coaching youth sports. Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., Level 1 or 2 in sports coaching). First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Child safeguarding or protection training (preferred). A background in teaching, sports science, or physical education is a plus.

Schedule:

Holidays Monday to Friday Weekend availability
