We are a dynamic team of football coaches committed to nurturing young talent and promoting a love for the sport within our community. Our classes are held in schools and clubs across Caterham and Warlingham, providing a vibrant environment for both our coaches and our students.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Coach to join our team. As a coach, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and skill-enhancing sessions to children in schools and our football teams. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young players' development while enjoying a flexible part-time schedule.
Hours:
After school clubs (approximately 3pm - 4pm Mon - Fri)
Team training (5:30pm - 6:30pm Mon, Tue, Wed)
Soccer School (8:45am - 9:45am Saturday)
Additional hours offered subject to success within the role
Key Responsibilities:
Training and Development:
Plan and deliver high-quality football coaching sessions tailored to the age and skill level of participants.
Implement structured training programs focusing on skill development, tactics, and teamwork.
Provide constructive feedback and individualised support to players to facilitate their growth and improvement.
Student Engagement:
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all participants feel motivated and valued.
Encourage active participation and enthusiasm for football through engaging activities and games.
Promote sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork among players, instilling valuable life skills both on and off the field.
Administration:
Maintain accurate attendance records and session plans, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed promptly.
Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and other stakeholders to provide updates on students' progress and upcoming events.
Safety and Well-being:
Prioritise the safety and well-being of participants at all times, adhering to relevant health and safety guidelines.
Act as a positive role model, promoting healthy lifestyles and good sportsmanship among young players.
Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, following appropriate procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
Previous experience coaching football, ideally with children or young athletes.
Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications (FA Level 1 or equivalent preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Passion for football and a genuine desire to inspire and empower young players.
Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Bonus Hours:
In addition to regular hours, you will have the opportunity to earn overtime during half terms and holidays by participating in our exciting holiday camps.
