Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Coach to join The University of York Women's Association Football Club. We are looking for a coach for both teams with pay dependent on experience. As our Football Coach, you will play a crucial role in developing and mentoring players, fostering teamwork, and enhancing overall performance on the field. We are a club consisting of 2 teams both competing in the BUCS league, our 1st team competing in the Northern 3B league and our 2nd team playing in Northern 4B league. If you have a strong background in sports coaching and a genuine interest in women's football, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:



- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance players skills and performance.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to players on techniques, strategies, and game tactics.

- Work alongside our assistant coach to plan and organise practice sessions to optimise player development and team cohesion.

- Analyse players' performances during games and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

- Foster a positive and supportive team environment that promotes sportsmanship and respect.

Requirements:



- Availability for trainings Monday evening 6-8pm (mandatory). Fridays 1:30-3:30pm (preferred, not mandatory)

- Availability On Wednesday afternoons for BUCS Games.

- Minimum level 1 coaching badge

- In-depth knowledge of football rules, techniques, and tactical strategies.

- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively mentor players.

- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.

- Passion for educating athletes and helping them grow both on and off the field.

Training sessions are located at the 3G at York Sport Village and the 22 acres field on the University of York campus, this is also where home games will take place. Away games take place at universities across the northeast side of the country.

This would be an either a Zero hour contract position or a volunteer role (dependent on experience) with required in-person availability on Monday evenings 6-8 pm and the majority of Wednesday afternoons in term time. We also have training 1;30-3;30pm on Fridays, although availability is not necessary it would be preferred.

Job Types: Zero hours contract, Volunteer

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 7 per week
