Job Overview
Based at the heart of South Leeds, The Hunslet Club has been helping young people achieve their full potential for over 85 years. With a membership of 4000 young people and around 80,000 individual visits, we are one of the largest youth organisations in the country.
We are looking for a dual role one been a qualified (minimum FA Level 2 / UEFA C License) football coach to support the growth and development of our football section over one night and also a Saturday morning. The other role would be a youth worker on evenings through the week where they make a positive impact on the lives of young people at our purpose built youth and community hub. The role involves providing support, guidance, and encouragement to help young individuals navigate challenges and reach their full potential.
As a football coach, you will be responsible for delivering sessions to our development children teaching them the skills of football.
As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of engaging sessions for our young people to experience. You will also be responsible for planning and developing sessions of your own, working closely with our Youth Work Leads.
Skills - Essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy and understanding towards the challenges faced by young people
Ability to establish trust and build rapport with young people
Capacity to plan their own sessions
A current Enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) certificate and First Aid Certificate, or are willing to undertake these courses
Skills - Desired
Qualification in youth work or related field
Experience working with diverse groups of young people
A minimum of FA Level 1 / UEFA C License qualifications
To cover coaching sessions when needed
Experience of delivering football to children and young people

The successful candidate will be working on a part-time basis for a minimum of 8.5 hours per week. The coach will lead Hunslet Club development sessions and lead on the football club section.
