Educating Kids Outdoors are recruiting!



Experienced Forest School Level 3 Practitioner-Desirable (We can provide training) Teaching or T.A qualification -Desirable SEND and SEHM experience-Essential
Our role is for 3 days part time.

You will be required to work in some of our local Telford, Shropshire or Staffordshire schools and from our education base at Weston Park.

Educating Kids Outdoors are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is a requirement of all staff that they share this commitment and follow the prescribed policy and procedures to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding. The Role:

Depending on experience, our new team member will be delivering curriculum enhancing Outdoor Learning and Forest School sessions either within local schools or at Weston Park.

someone who:

Loves working with children Understands the values of Outdoor Learning and Forest School Is patient and understanding of children who sometimes struggle to regulate emotions Can keep soggy children and school staff motivated in the worst of weathers Happy to smell of campfires Can 'in the moment plan' Can dynamic risk assess Notice when a child needs extra support or just someone to listen to them Can support behaviour needs in a positive and calm way Can work independently but also enjoys being a valued member of a small team Be able to keep up with the children and be on your feet all day Loves learning about a child's interests and how that can help to engage that young person in future sessions Is happy to hold insects and worms, or at least pretend to be okay when a child enthusiastically drops one in your hand!

Pay: 17,000.00-25,000.00 per year
