Forest School Leader (Senior Lead Outdoor Instructor)

25,867.77 pro rata (13.41 per hour)
We are seeking to grow our team of enthusiastic and energetic individuals to deliver a broad range of outdoor activities and sessions for our growing Explore Outdoor programme.
We are looking for a Level 3 Forest School Leader to join our team of contracted staff. As well as face to face delivery of our broad and diverse Forest School sessions we would expect a successful applicant to also be able to help support with Explore Outdoor behind the scenes with tasks such as report righting, site strategy and development and updating social media.
We have a full-time position available at 37 hours, but may accept part time applicants - (we also have positions for casual Forest School Leaders looking for a zero hours contact)
As an Explore Outdoor instructor you will be responsible for groups of children of all ages or working with families to deliver a range of safe, enjoyable, and exciting outdoor activity sessions ensuring you meet our high standards of customer care.
You will need to be a confident communicator, organised and pragmatic individual maintaining a duty of care over our customers throughout their session and providing a positive and memorable experience. Explore Outdoor instructors mainly work remotely in small teams, you will have to setup activities prior to the arrival of customers and pack away at the end of session. We are based in Bury St Edmunds but deliver sessions across Suffolk and employees must be confident drivers with a full UK driving license.
Work vehicles are provided, and personal mileage is paid appropriately.
We will provide additional training for all staff to be able to deliver a broad range of outdoor activities beyond that of the Forest School curriculum with opportunities to become archery, axe throwing and mountain bike instructors as an example.
Working Hours
37 hours a week - flexible. The role where required may include working some evenings, weekends, and bank holiday.
