Forest School Nursery Practitioner



We are looking for a passionate qualified Forest School and Early years practitioner to deliver high quality learning opportunities while successfully nurturing and inspiring our youngest children.

We are a unique setting providing childcare of the staff and students at the University. We are a charity located in Kingsdown, Bristol,

In this role, you will play a vital part in running our forest school sessions, collaborating with local outdoor sites, as well as creating a warm and stimulating environment that supports the intellectual, physical, and emotional growth of children aged 3 months to 5 years.

We would be interesting in meeting anyone who has a passion for bring the outdoors to our inner city setting.

This could be in a part time or full-time capacity where you would also be working with our children and families.



Salary starting 28,879

increasing after a sucessful probation to 29,659 (based on 40 hours per week, L3 qualified)

Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and education to children in accordance with the nursery's guiding principles. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster strong relationships. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create a safe and welcoming environment. Support children's individual needs and interests through tailored learning experiences.

Requirements



Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. A qualification in Forest School practice. A qualification in Early Years level 3 or 2 is preferred. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and parents. Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership when required. A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
