Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for loading and unloading materials. Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate tracking of stock levels. Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety. Conduct regular inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Skills

Proficient in operating forklifts and understanding warehouse operations. Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Ability to perform basic maths for inventory management and stock control. Experience in materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes is advantageous. Capable of performing heavy lifting in compliance with health and safety regulations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred but not essential.

Pay: 11.44-14.00 per hour
