Overview

We are seeking a Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment.

Duties

Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely in accordance with health and safety regulations Load and unload goods from lorries, pallets, and containers Manage materials handling tasks to ensure smooth workflow within the warehouse Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control Support stock organisation, storage, and retrieval activities Conduct routine safety checks on equipment before use Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Skills

Proven experience operating forklifts Strong materials handling skills with the ability to load, unload, and organise stock effectively Familiarity with shipping & receiving protocols and documentation requirements Good understanding of health & safety standards related to heavy machinery operation Basic maths skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable
This role requires a responsible individual capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards. The role is initially a temporary role for January with scope to develop into a permanent ongoing role.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
