Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The ideal applicant will have previous warehouse experience and be committed to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse Manage materials handling tasks, ensuring accurate placement and storage of goods Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments Conduct basic equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to minimise downtime Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines Support stock organisation, ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe, and well-organised Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed

Qualifications

Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating various types of forklifts Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge or basic equipment repair skills are advantageous Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety protocols Basic maths skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Good organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work effectively within a team environment
