Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries. Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and organisation. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and report any repair needs. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Skills

Proficient in operating forklifts with a valid forklift licence. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and maintenance. Experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements. Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and record keeping. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain an efficient workspace.
