Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport goods within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform heavy lifting while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling and storage.

Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues for repair.

Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly documented.

Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and stocktaking.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse environment.

Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Also there will be other warehouse duties involved in this, including picking and packing so experience of this is required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs. Experience with materials handling and heavy lifting is essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A valid forklift certification is required.
