Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in a very busy operation

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, containers and and load to vehicles To ensure goods are unloaded and loaded back out as quickly and safely as possible and thoroughly checked they are correct and reporting any damages to a supervisor either while unloading or loading immediately Be flexible in approach to day to day duties which will include performing some manual work or working within a container Ensuring workplace is kept tidy and clean at all times and work under minimum supervision using own initiative to assist other staff members or identifying problems and acting on them

Requirements

Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating various types of forklift trucks and products Warehouse experience, including handling materials and attention to detail in ensuring correct cargo is loaded out To perform basic FLT checks on a daily basis and notify any issues immediately Ability to carry out manual work when required Have a flexible approach to overtime in either starting earlier or working later and some weekend work during busy periods To undertake all tasks as quickly and safely as possible to ensure customers requirement's are met within good time To be able to work within a small team to offer help assistance at all times to keep the operation running is kept running smoothly and safely throughout the day
The pay scale will be dependent on experience and ability with the types of products we handle. However, if the candidate shows a commitment and aptitude and reliability then the salary would reviewed after initial 3 month probation period.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
