Job Function




The Forklift Driver will ensure that targets are met and regularly challenged and improved on. Delivering high standards of quality, ensuring product produced is to customer specification in line with critical control points, GMP and H&S requirements. Paying special regard to


Quality, cost control, yield and utilisation


health, safety & ethics


traceability,


product integrity,


labelling and


company, personal & food hygiene rules and legislation



To provide inbound stock receipt and production supply and external stock delivery requirements through strong performance and excellent customer service. Moving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage.

Duties and Responsibilities



Maximise efficiency and service levels


Ensure provision of all specific cold store requirements


Efficiently load and unload internal and external vehicles within time frame


Moving stock


Deliver full stock accountability and OTIF customer service to budget


Minimise vehicle delay and downtime


Check all incoming product, verify product quality and integrity only accepting goods that meet company and customer standards


Strictly adhere to all company and legislative requirements particularly encouraging safe and hygienic practices


Collaborate with and support team members to achieve


Support the development of future-fit employee skillset


Demonstrate flexibility


Support trainee development to ensure the 'next generation' workforce

Qualities, Experience and Person Qualities




Results driven


Attentive to detail


Good communication skills


Experienced in/ Willing and able to learn and deliver in food distribution cold store


Flexible, adaptable and keen to support others' development

Team player Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2

Speaking, writing and understanding spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability, management and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process)


Good numeracy skills

Current High reach, counterbalance and PPT FLT qualification and experience
