We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth logistics flow. Duties

Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse Manage inventory using warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of stock movements Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including checking deliveries and preparing orders for dispatch Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure operational safety and efficiency Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and proper stacking Support general warehouse organisation, including cleaning work areas and maintaining safety standards Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and minimise delays in material handling processes

Qualifications

Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment Good Communication skills Knowledge of warehouse management systems and basic mechanical repair skills Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and stacking Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred Valid forklift licence or certification is required Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management
