Job Description

We're now looking for reliable and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Drivers to join our night shift team in Birmingham. This role involves both forklift operation and manual handling/handballing, so it suits someone who's hands-on, physically capable, and takes pride in working efficiently as part of a team.

The Role

As a Night Shift FLT Driver, you'll be an essential part of our warehouse operation -- safely loading and unloading vehicles, moving freight within the warehouse, and supporting the flow of goods throughout the night.Your key responsibilities will include:

Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Handballing and manual handling of goods as required during loading, unloading, and sorting tasks. Loading and unloading trailers and vehicles in line with nightly schedules. Moving, stacking, and storing freight accurately and efficiently. Conducting daily checks on equipment and reporting any issues promptly. Maintaining clear communication with transport and warehouse teams. Keeping the work area clean, safe, and compliant with site standards.

What We're Looking For

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (required) Minimum 12 months' FLT experience in a warehouse or transport setting (required) Confident in handballing and manual handling work when required Good awareness of safe lifting practices and load security Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently on night shifts Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and attention to detail
