Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to manage the movement and storage of whisky casks within our HMRC-regulated bonded warehouse. The ideal candidate will prioritise safety, precision, and compliance, ensuring the integrity of our products throughout the maturation process.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling of materials. Move products within the warehouse, adhering to established safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and stock levels. Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and clean work environment. Fill and empty casks.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a bonded warehouse setting preferably dealing with casks. Familiarity with cask handling techniques and safety regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required by the role. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Familiarity with bonded warehouse operations and HMRC regulations is advantageous. Proven experience in a warehouse setting, preferably within the spirits industry.
