Job Summary


Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator /Yard Operations and Raw Materials Supervisor to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and finished goods within our fast paced factory. This is a

hands on

role requires attention to detail, strong management skills & adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Managing daily tasks of a small team in the preparation of production materials Lead and motivate saw area Ensure timely & correct distribution of processed materials to production areas Maintain high-quality standards with all processed timber components Implement and oversee quality check procedures Ensuring cut materials are available to aid high activity levels in production Prioritise jobs based on deadlines and machine capacities Organisation of goods in and out Optimise raw material storage Liaise effectively between production teams, design office, and other departments Stock & Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, ensure accurate stocktaking, and report to management for re-ordering. Loading vehicles using pre designed wagon plans for site deliveries

Requirements:



Experience in a fast paced production facility, ideally in a wood working operation Strong organisational and planning skills Counterbalance Forklift licence is required Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Knowledge of materials used in the timber frame industry would be advantageous however training will be given Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong leadership and communication abilities Willingness to learn and adapt to various yard / maintenance tasks Ability to delegate and be prepared to work hands on Physically fit and able to do heavy lifting Be able to multitask, adapt quickly to new priorities, have a sense of urgency and remain highly focused

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00 - 5.00 Friday 08:00 - 14:30 plus overtime in busy periods
