Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be proficient in the use of various tools. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented and has the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, roofs, and cabinetry. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform carpentry tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and material requirements. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Collaborate with other tradespeople on site to ensure project completion. Perform maintenance tasks on existing structures as required. Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to move materials or equipment.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Proficient in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders. Experience in commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Basic welding skills are a plus for structural repairs. Familiarity with masonry techniques for integrated projects is beneficial. Competence in using hand tools including chisels, hammers, and measuring tapes. Experience with roofing installations or repairs is desirable.
