The Opportunity
We are looking for a new FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. Working closely with the Senior FP&A Analyst, you will support the delivery of statutory results to our headquarters within strict deadlines. You'll also assist in the preparation of annual and rolling forecasts, as well as cost centre reporting against forecast for the Leadership and budget holders, while identifying potential risks and opportunities. This opportunity is an ideal one for someone who is working towards their professional qualifications.
Key tasks:
Support the delivery of financial and management reporting and analysis for all parts of the Group
Ensure the data integrity in core systems and outputs, providing accurate and timely information to support business decisions
Meet reporting and planning deadlines and manage processes as detailed within the Group Financial Calendar
Assist with the financial management, reporting and planning of specific Business Unit, focusing on commercial and cost centre analysis to enable informed decision making
Proactively highlight and identify internal controls gaps in the business procedures, processes and systems and recommend remedial actions to the manager.
Contribute to the implementation of future projects to for both reporting and systems for HQ reporting.
Your Unique Contribution
As FP&A Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reporting accurate sales and gross profit for the Group to HQ at detailed product level
Preparing and reporting accurate of marketing and SG&A costs via the cost centre for all business units, performing deep dive investigations where necessary
Collaborating with the manager to build reporting packs and provide insightful commentaries comparing actuals against budgets and previous period
Providing finance support and ad hoc analysis to the business unit team as required, with a focus on supporting the delivery of the group's strategy
Supporting the Finance team in delivery of statutory reporting to HQ
Budgeting and analysis
Preparing the annual budgets and rolling forecasts for all business units ensuring alignments with company plans
Assisting the Finance team in preparing the annual balance sheet and cash flow budgets
Reviewing actuals performance versus budgets and providing commentaries on variances
Supporting the Manager in preparation of budget, reforecast meetings and follow up
Cash reporting
Preparing and delivering accurate cash flows reporting and forecasts
Your Blend of Talent
Our ideal candidate is someone who has:
A relevant degree (or equivalent), undertaking professional accountancy qualifications (or equivalent)
Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to deliver effective management reporting and analysis
The ability to effectively organise and plan ahead, keeping the wider team aligned to processes and timelines
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
A keen eye for detail, data accuracy and integrity
Knowledge of the drinks industry (desirable)
Good listening skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Meticulous attention to detail, with an overall passion for continual improvement
A positive, pro-active, can-do attitude and willingness to continuously learn
The ability to build rapport and quickly gain the confidence of colleagues
A self-motivated and results-driven approach, able to work independently when required, providing effective escalation to managers and stakeholders
