Job Description

The FP&A Analyst role within the infrastructure industry offers an excellent opportunity to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. This permanent position based in London is ideal for an individual with a strong background in FP&A or Advisory.

  • To lead and manage the corporate financial planning process, including the annual budget and five-year plan
  • Maintain and develop the long-term business model to the end of the concession life, for use in shareholder valuations
  • Support the development of appropriate performance measurement frameworks to monitor progress of plans against budgets during the year
  • Provide business partnering support to the wider finance team as required
  • Responsible for supporting regulatory control period reviews, volume re-openers and other interim review activities
  • Ad hoc tasks as directed and analysis required to support regulatory obligation
  • Support the Head of FP&A on wider business growth projects
  • Lead the preparation of analytical models for credit rating agencies
  • Manage modelling for shareholders of valuation scenarios and appropriate cash extraction options
  • Project and investment appraisals, including NPV, IRR and ROI analysis

A successful FP&A Analyst should have:
  • A strong foundation in accounting or finance, supported by relevant qualifications.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis techniques.
  • Advanced skills in using financial software and tools, such as Excel.
  • The ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly.
  • Experience working in the transport & distribution industry is advantageous.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • The capability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
