Our client, a leading FTSE listed brand-name, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, is looking for a dynamic FP&A Manager to join its Finance Transformation programme. As they embark on transformative changes within the Finance Department and wider business, this dedicated and forward-thinking FP&A Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and other change initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business needs into development requirements, challenging existing planning processes, and ensuring seamless integration of new processes across the organization. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, working alongside the Finance Transformation team to drive strategic change within the Finance Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and Translate Business Needs: Accountable for understanding business issues and converting them into development requirements by collaborating with Business and Finance teams to ensure alignment.
  • Challenge and Improve Planning Processes: Evaluate current planning processes and drive process improvements to deliver the next generation of Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
  • System and Process Oversight: Oversee system and process requirements, demonstrating a strong understanding of how P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow are interrelated.
  • Change Management: Work with the Change Manager to provide effective change management support to impacted business teams, ensuring the successful adoption of new processes.
  • Process Review and Transformation: Review accounting and operational systems and related financial processes to align with evolving organizational needs.
  • Strategic Project Management: Collaborate with the leadership team to manage strategic projects and initiatives within the Finance Division.
  • Data Analysis and Communication: Deliver timely, robust, and accurate analysis, translating data into valuable business insights and effectively communicating financial and non-financial information as needed.
  • Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support the Finance Transformation team\'s objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Professionally Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
  • Understanding of balance sheet, P&L & Cashflow forecasting
  • Proven experience of analyzing and interpreting data to identify opportunities and actively participate in the operational decision-making process
  • Effective presentation skills, both verbal and written with strong attention to detail
  • Curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers.
  • Confidence to gain the support of senior management to make systems changes and with a character able to manage potential reluctance to these changes from users.
  • Ability to work to a high standard of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with experience of understanding, documenting, and accounting for business processes
  • Ability to prioritize workload while managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Proven ability and desire to deliver change.
