Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist on a rent a chair self employed basis. The ideal candidate will have a flair for creativity and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our clients. Your ability to communicate effectively and upsell services will contribute to the overall success of our salon.

Responsibilities

Provide a range of hair services, including cutting, colouring, and styling, tailored to meet individual client needs. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards. Engage with clients to understand their preferences and offer professional advice on hair care products and services. Upsell salon products and additional services to enhance client experience and satisfaction. Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth salon operations and provide mentoring support to junior staff as needed. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and techniques.

Experience

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within the beauty industry is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience in upselling products and services is advantageous. Knowledge of store management practices is beneficial for maintaining salon efficiency. Proficiency in barbering techniques is a plus, along with any relevant certifications in hairdressing or beauty therapy. A passion for mentoring junior stylists or apprentices would be highly regarded.
