Freelance Internal Verifier - Childcare Qualifications

Location: Remote | Contract: Freelance | Hours: Flexible

We are seeking an experienced and qualified

Internal Verifier (IV)

to join our team on a freelance basis to support the delivery of high-quality childcare and early years qualifications.

About the role

As an IV, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and quality of our qualifications by ensuring assessor decisions are consistent, fair, and meet awarding body requirements. You'll work collaboratively with assessors, providing guidance and feedback, while sampling learner evidence to ensure compliance and excellence in delivery.

Qualifications you'll be supporting:

Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Health and Social Care and Early Years and Childcare Settings

Key responsibilities:

Sample and verify assessor decisions across the above qualifications Provide clear, constructive feedback and support to assessors Ensure assessment practices align with awarding organisation standards Maintain accurate records of sampling and feedback Contribute to standardisation meetings and continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

A recognised IQA qualification (e.g. Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or equivalent) Occupational competence within the childcare/early years sector Experience of quality assurance within vocational education Strong communication and organisational skills A proactive, detail-focused approach to ensuring compliance and quality
