Retrofit Tutor / Assessor (Freelance)

We are looking for an experienced

Retrofit Tutor / Assessor

to join our team on a freelance basis. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment for retrofit qualifications, supporting learners to achieve industry-recognised standards.

The role includes both

remote

and

site-based

work. You will deliver engaging training sessions, assess practical competence, and ensure all learners are supported throughout their qualification journey.

All portfolios are managed through our e-portfolio system, so confidence in using online systems is essential. You may also be required to visit candidates on-site to carry out observations and assessments (travel expenses paid).

Qualifications Required

You must hold recognised assessor qualifications such as:

A1 / D32-D33, or

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)

TAQA

qualification - desirable Teaching qualification (PTLLS / AET or higher) - desirable Retrofit Assessor or Retrofit Coordinator qualification - advantageous

Experience Required

Proven experience delivering or assessing retrofit or construction-related qualifications Strong understanding of PAS 2035 and retrofit principles Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning to a high standard Experience supporting learners in both classroom and workplace environments Excellent communication and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities

Deliver retrofit and energy efficiency training sessions Assess learner portfolios and provide developmental feedback Maintain accurate records on the e-portfolio system Support learners to meet qualification requirements and deadlines Ensure all assessment and IQA processes meet awarding body standards
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 250.00-450.00 per day
