We are a digital marketing agency seeking a talented and experienced Freelance SEO Specialist to join our team on a monthly retainer basis. This is a flexible remote role starting at 8 hours per month, with potential for additional ad-hoc hours.

We serve a diverse portfolio of clients and are looking for someone who can not only deliver outstanding SEO strategies but also support content development and help shape content strategy across web pages and blogs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to client goals. Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and provide actionable recommendations. Regularly track, report, and analyse SEO performance using tools such as Ahrefs and Google Analytics. Collaborate with our internal team to improve on-site and off-site SEO. Guide content direction for clients - from blog ideas to optimised web pages - ensuring content is both search-friendly and aligned to the user journey. Review and optimise client content for SEO (meta data, headings, internal links, etc.). Stay up to date with algorithm changes, SEO trends and best practices. Help us refine and document our internal SEO framework and processes. Understand how AI is changing the search landscape and develop forward-thinking strategies that adapt to evolving user behaviour and search engine technology.
You'll Need:

Strong understanding of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO. Proven experience developing SEO strategies that drive results. Excellent knowledge of SEO-led content creation, including structuring and briefing blog and page content. Comfortable working across multiple industries and adapting tone and messaging accordingly. Proficient in using tools like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills, we're a friendly, straight-talking team who value clarity over jargon. Experience developing frameworks or repeatable systems for SEO is a bonus.
