Job Description
We are a growing structural engineering practice based in SN6, Swindon, seeking a skilled
Freelance Draughtsman
to support our project workload. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who can work independently while collaborating closely with our engineers.Role Responsibilities
Produce high-quality structural drawings and models for a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects Prepare GA drawings, reinforcement detailing, and fabrication drawings Interpret engineering sketches and convert them into detailed CAD plans Work closely with structural engineers to develop accurate, buildable designs Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards and project requirements
Requirements
Proven experience as a draughtsman/technician within structural or civil engineering Proficiency in AutoCAD (and preferably Revit or other 3D modelling software) Strong attention to detail and ability to work from engineering notes and sketches Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a small team Right to work in the UK Availability to work
on-site in our Swindon (SN6) office for 4 hours per day

Freelance / contract basis Flexible working hours (within office operating times) Competitive hourly or day rate depending on experience
