Job Description

Overview

PQA, a leading provider of weekend performing arts training, is currently recruiting a Comedy & Drama teacher for their academy in Barnsley on a Saturday.

You will need to have a wide range of knowledge of practical drama and be able to teach a range of subjects which might include Improvisation, devised and scripted drama.

PQA follows safer recruiting, therefore an enhanced DBS on the update service will be required and can be arranged.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lessons. Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusive, and active participation. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and prepare for shows and showcases of student work. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.

Experience

A degree from an accredited university is required; prior teaching experience is highly desirable.. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage students and collaborate with staff.
Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week

Work Location: In person
